How the White Christian American Church Jusified Hate

Based on CDC findings in 2021, the ethnic group with the highest age-adjusted self-inflicted death rate in the US was the non-Hispanic Native Americans, alongside the Alaskan Native Americans. The rate in 2021 was 28.1 per 100,000 population. Males aged between 15 - 34 have the higher rate of 82.1 per 100,000. Native Hawaiian Islanders have a lower self-inflicted death rate.

How MAN-made religious system justified hate, forced conversion, and continued gross abuse of the indigenous Native American community.

Doctrine of Discovery: This law made it so that non-Christian lands were "available" to be taken and exploited by Christian rulers, and their inhabitants could be subdued and converted to Christianity. This is where the church was (and still is) very much integrated into the powers of the British State.

Civilizing Mission: An interpretation of scripture about taking ‘the good news’ to every culture and people that was weaponized. A “religious and moral obligation” to bring Christianity to Indigenous populations considered savages or heathens.

Divine Mandate: Their expansion was a divine command, viewing themselves as God's chosen people with a right to take land by a man-made written law of the Doctrine of Discovery and over throw, shame, and abuse those who didn’t agree to their very hypocritical religion by the man-made law of the Civilizin Mission.

Then religion played both judge and jury. Both god and the servant forced the narrative that it was a divine providence. By enslaving this people, beating them, raping their women, separating their families, would expose them to Christianity and save their souls.

Even though the black community is overall lower than the non-Hispanic white population at the rate of 8.7 deaths per 100 people in 2021, according to the CDC, what is concerning is the 37% increase from 2018 to 2021. It is the third cause of death for black Americans between age 10 - 24. Cultural systematic inequities, discrimination and trauma, lack of access to culturally competent healthcare resources, and the stigma and fear of the white man's health system - due to the lack, knowledge or concern to accommodate appropriate treatment and care of the black communities.

How MAN-made religious interpretations justified hate, extreme abuses, deaths, slavery, being displaced from families and culture towards the Black African Americans.

Religion has widely been used to justify the enslavement of Africans in the US, with some arguing that it was divinely ordained or that enslaved Africans would be saved by encountering Christianity. The Curse of Ham, a Biblical passage on “servitude” (this is why research and interpretation matter).

Often, African religions blended very well with Christianity. Many of their religions embody a Holy Trinity. It was just wrapped in a different language and culture. It was when greed and power got mixed up within these religions that hate and evil things were able to happen.

"Don't you know you are slaves to the one you obey?" Romans 6:16
