Universal Deceit

The book of Jubilees, which was found with the Dead Sea Scrolls, yet excluded by men of religious authority, states that Saturdays are the true Sabbath. It is actually still revered in a couple religions today. Families were to stay home and praise and immerse “themselves” in the presence of the Creator of all things.  Yet, religion insists we leave our homes on Sundays to be given a word from a man. Why do we allow the one day set aside for our Creator to be planned out and delegated by a man? See, even religion can become a distraction to what is the most important proclamation of our lives… We can proclaim it all day long. Are we truly submerged in it? Where would we find the time? Convenient. Are we walking it? We have to earnestly seek the Truth to follow Him. I assure you, most of the ministers in the pulpits have been just as deceived as those in the pews. We need to study ourselves. We need to allow HIM to speak to us. Not man. To give our Common Creator back the control th...

Biblical Figures of Adoption, Samuel

The Biblical Adoption of Samuel ~Samuel’s mother chose to obey by giving up the cherished moments of childhood in order to help fulfill God’s will. In a way, she chose Samuel’s role in life, but he, too, had to be obedient in order for things to fulfill God's will. Not our own. ~Hannah, what if she disobeyed and neglected the purpose behind the promise? I believe Samuel would have grown up feeling like a fish out of water - like he didn’t belong. Never able to please, as he wasn’t in the role he was meant to take on. He was born and given life for a specific purpose. ~Israel would have remained off God’s favor until an obedient person heeded the call. ~Hannah’s self-worth demonstrates her faith through obedience (We can undo the blessing). ~Great sacrifice, as her love for God is greater than the heart-wrenching choice to obey and let go of Samuel. ~God blessed her obedience, although the sacrifice had to come first. Her faith allowed her to believe in God’s fulfillment. ~Expressio...

Is Your Chuch Loving Enough?

Image
Did you know that approximately 5,627,000 Americans are intersex? This would be a biological feature that an individual is born with. That cannot be helped. Sometimes it is not discovered until late in life. Maybe never. But it might account for someone you know being attracted to the same sex. A female might naturally produce testosterone unknowingly. A boy might produce more estrogen, causing him to have more feminine features.  But since the science conflicts with religious law, and an uncomfortable conversation when "chosen" to not take the time to understand, we find a way to shame them for being naturally wired? They are already embarrassed. They are already confused and scared of assumptions and judgments. Christians really need to be on the forefront of that lifelong battle they will face? You're keeping them from peace and joy when you openly judge this community (in His name...) who commanded us to love our brother, sister, neighbors, and even enemies. Oh and we...
